Quest ABCs

For the first part of the championship season, Quest swimmers showed that they have learned their ABCs well.  As a team, we experienced a gratifying transformation from the first meet of the season -- where our pockets were full of DQ tickets-- to the District [B/C] Championships -- where we received only 3 of those tickets for the entire meet.  We also demonstrated another important goal for meets which is to Win Races. Little things make big differences in winning close races, and we saw Quest swimmers taking advantage of winning techniques throughout the meet.

The Regional [A/BB] Championships provided a continuation of lessons on winning races.  We were minus the depth in 13 &over swimmers to win the Championship, but Quest out-touched competitors in many close race scenarios.  Our 12 & under swimmers dominated.  Special recognition goes to: 

• Jared Moorman,  individual high point winner for boys, and
•  Kate Nezelek  who won the 11-12 50Free from an early heat.

The TEAM was supportive of each other.  Those great finishes were for others and with the support of others making them possible.  We are very proud of the collective results from District and Regional Championships.  These meets represent the foundation and the core of our program, and we are stronger than we have ever been at those levels.
